16s Head Coach
Sam Wittert started playing volleyball at the age of 14. He played indoor and beach volleyball throughout high school and college. While at UC Santa Cruz, Sam and his fellow slugs earned their way to the 2019 NCAA DIII National Championship. As captain and starting setter, he led the team for his final two years at UCSC before receiving his Bachelors in Psychology in 2021. Sam has had the opportunity to play and help coach at college volleyball camps such as those hosted by UCLA and UCSB. Similarly, he has helped coach girls and boys club teams ages 12-18. One of Sam’s favorite volleyball memories is in 2016 he and his high school teammates traveled to Nicaragua where they played local teams and taught children in the community how to play volleyball.
Sam is dedicated to best supporting those around him - athletes, parents and fellow coaches alike - and takes pride in fostering a safe and open environment centered around personal growth, cooperation and trust.
